New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick says he's glad to have quarterback Tom Brady at least through the 2014 season. Belichick says there's "no other quarterback I'd rather have than Tom Brady." Brady agreed to terms Thursday on a contract that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady agreed to a four-year contract extension Thursday that would make him the NFL's highest paid player, according to two people with knowledge of the contract. The extension begins in 2011 at an average of $18 million per year with a total of $48.5 million guaranteed, one of those persons said.

The New England Patriots' quarterback seemed fine Thursday less than seven hours after he was involved in a two-car crash near his home in Boston's Back Bay.
